PACIFIC ROBOTICS has been in the business of supplying robotic palletizer and depalletizer systems for more than 20 years.
Depending upon the application, we supply a standard robot from one of the major robot manufacturers or build a robot that satisfies special needs. We have supply arrangements with Kuka Robotics, Motoman, and Fanuc. To provide an operational work cell, we add Pacific Robotics tooling, custom programming, and work cell sensor systems. We also provide infeed conveyors, pallet and slip sheet magazines, pallet conveyors, barcode readers, vision systems, and safety barriers
In one application, one of our palletizers handles approximately 300 different packages from 4 infeed lines to 4 shipping pallets. It starts with one line and palletizes that product until it, for example, gets a "queue full" signal from another line. It then remembers where it stopped on the first line and moves over to palletize the second line. It works that line until it, again for example, runs out of product on that line. It then polls the other lines to determine which has the most product ready for palletizing. Remembering where it stops on the second line, it moves to the third line to continue palletizing. The robot works back and forth among the 4 lines in that fashion until it completes the load on one of the pallets. At that point, it signals the outfeed conveyor to move the loaded pallet out for pickup. During this operation, the robot moves over to the empty pallet magazine, picks up an empty pallet, and delivers it to the vacant pallet loading station. This is but one example of the versatility of our robotic palletizers. |
